   "Ștefan cel Mare" - Suceava Airport is situated in north east of Romania, in Suceava county, 450 km north from Bucharest, the capital of the country.

Description:
   "Ștefan cel Mare" - Suceava Airport is situated in Salcea to 12 km east from Suceava and 30.5 km west from Botoşani, road acces beeing possible using a concrete road access with 3 km length and 7 m width, connected to D.N. 29 that unite the two cities. The geographical position reported to center of runway is 47 41'14,92" N / 26 21'14,49" E, about 413 metres above medium sea level, surface covered by airport infrastructure is around 1150000 m2.
   The first flights on "Ștefan cel Mare" - Suceava Airport were begun in 1962, and since 1963 that flights profited by concrete runway, approach lightning system and embarkment/debarkation apron for passengers and cargo.
   Airport activity is running corresponding to the Romanian Aeronautical Statute regulations, international aeronautical authorities agreements on which Romania joined.
   At this time, R.A. Aeroportul "Ștefan cel Mare" - Suceava is under the protection of Suceava County Council.
